Finished

I posted the final chapter to The Sound of the Sea today. And ... I don't know whether to be happy or sad. I'm satisfied, and glad to be able to move on to other projects, but on the other hand ... I think I'm going to miss Meg and Will.

Ah, the travails of being an author!

I'm going to miss Meg and Will so much. This last installment seems to have come and gone so quickly. That's what happens when we have something good to read. Thank you for the the dedication. I'm very, very honored. I can't wait to read whatever is next.

I'm so sorry I missed this chapter until today. I am so, so sorry the story is over--but I am so pleased with the way it ended. Thank you for the dedication from the bottom of my heart. And YES! I can't wait to read what is next, either. Your story about Leigh, or something about Cecily or Paul as a child? Anything you write!

Thank you both; I haven't forgotten that sensation of being the new kid in town when I started writing fanfic, and the encouragement you both gave me, and how welcome you made me. I've gained some marvelous friends from it now, and seen my writing skills gain polish to boot.

I'm not sure what is yet—I worked out a brief outline of a Leigh story the other day, and also started thinking about some short stories, so we'll see which wins out. Right now I'm trying to clean up some old projects before starting anything new!

I know the feeling! We will be here whenever you come back to Meggie's world--or for whatever new thing you start!
