Questionaire

It has been a long time since we’re filled out a questionnaire. I always find these to be fun and interesting, so here’s another one:

1. Who is your favorite L. M. Montgomery character of all time?

2. Who is your least favorite L. M. Montgomery character of all time?

3. Who is your favorite Non- LMM literary heroine? (Yes I know that’s the poll question, but those are my choices. I want to know yours)

4. Who is your favorite Non-LMM literary hero?

5. What is your guilty pleasure or favorite waste of time?

6. What’s your favorite board game?

7. What’s your favorite season? (Duck and Wabbit don’t count!)

8. Do you have a personal blog? If so and you wish to share it, what’s the address?

9. What is the most bizarre fanfiction that you’ve ever read?

10. If you could be any literary character for one day, who would you be, at what time, and why?

11. If you could only have one channel on your television, what would it be? Okay, what if you could have five?

12. Would you rather have an ending that is just happy, a sappy ending, or a sad and depressing (what some would call realistic) ending?

    1. Who is your favorite L. M. Montgomery character of all time?
Anne also, but probably because she was the first one I loved.

    2. Who is your least favorite L. M. Montgomery character of all time?
    Mrs. Frederick Stirling.

    3. Who is your favorite Non- LMM literary heroine? (Yes I know that’s the poll question, but those are my choices. I want to know yours)
I too am a fan of Miss Elizabeth Bennet and would also love to name a daughter Elizabeth or Lorelai or both!

    4. Who is your favorite Non-LMM literary hero?
It's a close tie between Mr. Darcy and Atticus Finch. Rhett Butler is pretty good as well. I often thought that it would have been better had Rhett and Melanie gotten together and Scarlet died. Of course, if you read the book, I think that Scarlet is a bit more likable. She is where I started liking the name Katie, and I have used it a lot since I first read GWTW in one night!

    5. What is your guilty pleasure or favorite waste of time?
Reading and writing fanfiction. Blogging. Constantly looking for ways to update blogs, web browsers, and email clients. Looking up historical facts.

    6. What’s your favorite board game?
I don't play them very often either, but Bart and I do have an extensive Trivial Pursuit collection. I love trivia, so this is my favorite game. We also occasionally play Scrabble. I finally beat Bart!!!

    7. What’s your favorite season? (Duck and Wabbit don’t count!)
I am a Spring and Autumn person. In the Spring, I believe that it is my favorite season, with the flowers and trees blooming, the thunderstorms, and etc. In the Autumn I think it is my favorite, with leaves turning, late roses blooming, college football games, and the relief from the sweltering heat.

    8. Do you have a personal blog? If so and you wish to share it, what’s the address?
    http://anecdotesandattitiude.blogspot.com/

    9. What is the most bizarre fanfiction that you’ve ever read?
I've read a few about Anne of Gilbert having sex as well, but I think the most bizarre ones are the ones where people believe that Matthew is gay. There is one where that is the reason Marilla and John Blythe part ways.

    10. If you could be any literary character for one day, who would you be, at what time, and why?
I would like to be Anne at Ingleside during Christmas when the children are all young, but not the Christmas Aunt Mary Maria was there! I would also like to be Elizabeth Bennet at almost any point in the book!

    11. If you could only have one channel on your television, what would it be? Okay, what if you could have five?
    1. The History Channel
    2. The WB (Gilmore Girls!)
    3. Turner Classic Movies
    4. Hallmark Channel (Little House on the Prarie and The Waltons)
    5. TBS (It has Ray, Friends, and Seinfeld!)

    12. Would you rather have an ending that is just happy, a sappy ending, or a sad and depressing (what som e would call realistic) ending? I love a realistic, happy ending with a touch of sappy. I love to cry when reading or watching a movie, however I am no fan of deus ex machina. I want things to be believable.

    1. Who is your favorite L. M. Montgomery character of all time?
Cecily King. However, in other moods I might have chosen Pat, Hilary or Bets.

    2. Who is your least favorite L. M. Montgomery character of all time?
Maybe Rilla Blythe, if people meant to be hated, such as May Binnie or the two Irenes or other mean gossipy women, do not count.

    3. Who is your favorite Non- LMM literary heroine? (Yes I know that’s the poll question, but those are my choices. I want to know yours)
    Melanie Hamilton.

    4. Who is your favorite Non-LMM literary hero?
Maybe Demi Brooke in L.M.Alcott's Little Men and Jo's Boys.

    5. What is your guilty pleasure or favorite waste of time?
Reading and posting in various online forums. Even Wikipedia and Everything2 can be addictive!

    6. What’s your favorite board game?
    Go.

    7. What’s your favorite season? (Duck and Wabbit don’t count!)
I like rainy days in any season, whether cold rains in February or warm, heavy ones in June. Even though they lead to frostnips and floodings!

    8. Do you have a personal blog? If so and you wish to share it, what’s the address?
http://spaces.msn.com/members/r6144/, but it is mostly in Chinese.

    9. What is the most bizarre fanfiction that you’ve ever read?
I remember a very bizarre one about Snow White and her evil stepmother on fanfiction.net, but I can't find it just now.

    10. If you could be any literary character for one day, who would you be, at what time, and why?
Pat, with Bets in "April Magic" or with Hilary in "Let's Pretend". It is so nice to have real kindred spirits.

    11. If you could only have one channel on your television, what would it be? Okay, what if you could have five?
I don't know. Television seems to be quite optional for me, given that I have newspapers and the 'net for news and most shows here are either worth the DVD price or a waste of time. Besides, I guess most of you do not watch the Chinese channels :)

    12. Would you rather have an ending that is just happy, a sappy ending, or a sad and depressing (what some would call realistic) ending?
All kinds are okay for me, as long as they don't sound contrived. I can remember some good ones of each kind. Among LMM works I think the ending of Magic for Marigold is the most memorable.

    No

    9. What is the most bizarre fanfiction that you’ve ever read?

There are so many bad and bizarre fanfics out there, it's hard to choose and I never finish them when they are graphic or grotesque. One of the funniest bizarre fanfics I read was a Back to the Future fanfic that contained emails back and forth through time.

    10. If you could be any literary character for one day, who would you be, at what time, and why?

Hermione Granger. She is intellegent and can do more magic then her classmates, and I think it would be fascinating to live in a magical world.

    1. BBC
    2. Discovery

    12. Would you rather have an ending that is just happy, a sappy ending, or a sad and depressing (what some would call realistic) ending?

I like happy endings but realistic is good when it isn't too depressing.
