I'm glad that Una Meredith is getting a bit of a break. I'm very interested in reading the next chapters of her ff. I've been trying to work on the next chapters of both my ff's in progress. However, neither one is coming along the way I would like. I'm trying to decide what to do next with both of them. Comfort and Joy, will basically follow the timeline that Walter laid out in the early chapters of Once of Ingleside. Nan of the Island, however, I'm trying to tie in with Rilla of Ingleside, and that makes it a little more difficult.
It's almost like all of the ff's have stalled a bit. There haven't been too many updates lately. I guess maybe that's why we should work on this group ff and share ideas. I certainly need to get my creative juices flowing. Nothing inspires me more than to read a new chapter of a good ff.

It's Ruby Gillis aka Cathy. I know JUST what you are talking about. I have hit a total brick wall with The Harbor Light. I feel like I have too many characters and not enough to do with them! Especially since I don't want it to be all fluff and romance.
I have some other ideas for fics that I'd like to work on, so I'd like to finish up on this quick! I'd like to write about Pat's daughter, Judith (from my Years of Happiness fic) and her spending a year at on PEI to get to know her family. I'd like to write something about Juliet Kent's twin daughters, but I don't know if that would be taking it too far. I'd like to redo my The Way of the World fic about Una and Shirley, because I think it's too short. And I already have the title for one, "Rilly my Rilla," about the years between RoI and The Way of the World, where Rilla and Kenneth start their own family.
Too much inspiration, not enough drive. :(
I can't WAIT to read Comfort and Joy.
Ooo! Ooo! Ooo! You HAVE to write Rilla my Rilla! I love The Way of the World, but it would be interesting to add a little to it. The one about Juliet's daughters would be cool too. Though like you, I wonder how far is too far. I haven't really ever read much Pat stuff, or even the books though I skimmmed them, until you introduced Sid in the Cecilia stories. I am very interested though. As always, you've peakd my interest (I've got to find another word!)
