Well, I have finally finished the next chapter of "Once of Ingleside." I hope that it lives up to everyone's expectations. Don't worry, this is not the end. It would make a good ending, but we all know that there are a few loose strings that need to be tied. Enjoy!
Hmm... That could possibly be because I did a thirteenth hour edit and fixed a typo where instead of rob, I accidentally typed, rod. If that doesn't work, then try off the link here on the blog. It's working on my computer, but I use Netscape as my primary browser. Though, that should matter littke. I hope it works soon.
The link on the blog worked for me. Great chapter, Adrienne!
Another wonderful chapter!!! I am relieved that Una made the decision that she couldn't marry Samson Belle. I am glad that she was willing to go and confront him about it despite her passive nature. The exchange between Walter and Una was so beautifully written, so powerful and emotional. Fantastic work!!!
Thanks for all of the good reviews. When I have spare time at home, I'm working on the final installments of Once, of Ingleside.
To answer a few questions asked in reviews:
Chapter 45 was not the last chapter, but it would've made a good one if it was.
I never found Una's middle name anywhere, I just made it up, or rather took it from the similar character in David Copperfield. As I said it in my head, it just sort of sounded good.
I have to admit, that last line where Una admitted that she has loved Walter was straight from one of the most memorable lines in David Copperfield, which you by now must have guessed is another of my favorite books. I wish that I had thought of it myself.
I have also thought about being mean and giving an alternate ending, but I don't know if I could do that to everyone. If I did, it would be where everyone knew that it was an alternate ending, and that it doesn't really go. If I was to use the alternate ending as the real ending, then all of my plans for sequels would be out of the question.
As always, all feedback is greatly appreciated.
Oh, for your sanity's sake, it won't be used. I guess. Though it would make a fairly evil belated April Fool's Joke if I did, only to delete a day or two later. Which I won't do.
