An Interesting Site: AKA Food for Thought

For those of you who visit the Avonlea Forum, there's a good chance that you've already seen this site. I know Irish Princess has. However, if you haven't, it's worth taking a peek. I don't agree with it much at all, but it is as said in the title, interesting. In some ways, it is another form of ff. Anyway, it gives room for thought and discussion such as:

I. How our favorite characters die.
(I know that's a very touchy subjet, but it's a good discussion piece. i.e. Jerry's supposed cause of death. Jeeze!)

II. Just what is your vision of before and after the Anne of Green Gables?
A. When you write, are all of your works related and tie together or not?
B. Do you prefer to stick to the established time period and setting, or do you like to mix things up?

Well, that's about all of the deep thought I can handle now after taking a look at that site. I have to go take an Advil.

I don't take the site seriously either, I just wanted others' opininion on it because it does seem so outlandish. I agree, because it is fiction, we can be in denial of anyone ever dying. Although for some sick reason, I wonder about the whole thing with Jerry accidentally dying of poisoning.

I paid so little attention to it by the time it got to Walter, that I didn't even notice the mistake with his name. That's almost unforgivable.

The ages are very wrong too. I think we all pretty much agree about the ages within a year or two.

I am a fan who likes to stick with the L.M. Montgomery plan of things. I like the time period it's in, I like the setting, and the only thing that I've changed is that Walter didn't really die. I also like for all of my works to be continuous

I have to agree though that the worst piece of fanfiction ever is Anne 3. It ruins the magic of the story.

I'm a very bad person who should be working on 'Back to Green Gables', but I am on this blog instead! *waves to bloggers*

I looked at the website and I have to say.....'what the heck?'. First off, I just can't imagine any of Anne's children EVER marrying a Pringle. I don't think the date of Walter's death is correct, but that IS up for debate. Um....I have to take issue with the fact that this person has Di giving birth to eight children in ten years and there's not one multiple birth in the bunch. That's just about medically unsafe!

What's strange about all of it is that, not only are the causes of death written down, but the places of death are there also. It's.....kinda creepy.

But not nearly as creepy as the mini-series 'Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story'. What a travesty! Colleen Dewhurst would be ashamed, to say nothing of L.M. Montgomery!

You SHOULD be working on Back to Green Gables :)! But, you're not that bad. I would like to see some more, though. We've missed you in the LMM parts. It's great to hear from you again! You'll have to join our little growing community.
