Happy First Day of Summer everyone! I love the new fanfics that DylanLee posted. I see that we haven't been playing the movie game in a while, but who would you gals pick to play Anne? would you keep Megan Follows or do you have another actress in mind?

  1. Hmm... We're treading on sacred ground now. I don't know really. Megan Follows always seems like Anne to me, and Jonathon Crombie is Gilbert.

Of course, it always depends on what age in Anne's life we're discussing. I'll have to give it all a great deal of thought.

I was thinking around her 40s or 50s, like a post Rilla of Ingleside story

  4. LOL! Aren't you a crafty thing? I suppose I could be induced to finish the next chapter. I've just been clearing my head after another day of work.

    that would be fabulous!!

  6. I'm sorry, but and hour long gab-fest with my mother-in-law has prevented me from probably doing much writing tonight. We'll see how things go after I finally eat dinner tonight.

I think Megan Follows is the quintessential Young Anne. For a more mature, RoI Anne, I don't know. At times I think it could be Marcia Cross, of Desperate Housewives fame, but she's a little too angular. Julianne Moore is too bubbly. I think my favorite thus far is Kathleen York, who plays Andy Wyatt on the West Wing. She looks young in this picture, but I think she's actually in her 40s.

    Sorry, here's the correct link.

I agree that megan follows made the perfect Anne when she was younger but I was watching a recent movie of hers a few days ago, and she isn't Anne for me anymore. Her voice was too deep and growly.
